Watermarks on Etsy

Do you use watermarks?

If so, you may want to place your watermark as close to the bottom of the photo as you can. If you place them in the middle and want to be included in treasuries, you may find that you aren't chosen as often as you would like.

The reason is that while people would love to use your photo's, they know that the possibility of Etsy choosing a treasury with watermarked photos is pretty low.

Try to place your watermark low in the photo like this one.

  3. I think about this all the time when I see some great photo with a watermark smack in the center! I have not used several items in treasuries because they had them. Thanks for pointing this out to everyone!

  4. Rose, once again you've hit the nail on the head. So many times I've skipped wonderful photos when making a treasury - simply because of those big fat watermarks!

  6. I try not to use watermarks, rather I use low res. photos. If you use high res photos the watermark at the bottom could be cropped out.
